Part Time District Safeguarding Officer

Yorkshire West District (proposed name for the new District being formed from part of the current Leeds District and the current West Yorkshire District) is seeking to recruit a District Safeguarding Officer to work from home, initially within the Leeds section of the new District as part of a team of three District Safeguarding Officers. Starting date 1 September 2017 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The appointment is for 18 hours per week worked flexibly including evenings and occasional weekends, with a probationary period of 6 months. Salary £18.85 per hour (£17,652 per annum).

Applicants should be sympathetic to the aims, objectives and ethos of the Methodist Church with expertise and experience in child and/or adult protection.

Part Time Children & Family Mission Enabler: Leeds North & East Circuit

The Leeds North & East Circuit is looking to appoint a Children & Family Mission Enabler, to:
  • develop opportunities for the sharing of Christian faith among children and families;
  • plant and nurture seeds of God's kingdom in the lives of young families;
  • encourage existing children's work.

Salary will be in the range £20,000 to £24,000 per annum pro rata, 20 hours per week, to include some evening and weekend work.

Appointment will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check. It is a genuine occupational requirement that the postholder is a practising Christian.
